The BEAM-SD professional-to-professional consultation line provides support to healthcare, education, and behavioral health professionals who treat and work with children and adolescents (0-21) throughout South Dakota through teleconsultation with a multi-disciplinary team of pediatric behavioral health providers. This service is available during standard business hours and is offered at no cost to the professional or provider. Through this service, professionals can access direct consultation to address diagnostic questions, medication recommendations, appropriate psychotherapy referrals, behavioral health education, identification of local resources, and more.

When submitting a consultation request, providers and professionals will be asked a few concise, de-identified questions to better understand the purpose of the request and to collect information that can be passed on to the pediatric behavioral health provider responding to the consultation request. All consultation requests will receive a response within one business day.
